Make your own bow under the guidance of an experienced professional bowyer- Hilary has run these workshops since 1993, so hopefully you will learn enough to take away a bow you will be proud of!
These weekend bowmaking workshops introduce the principles of bowmaking using selected seasoned whitewood staves and 'self' flatbow designs suitable for each particular stave. You will learn the principles of bow design, how to work to growth rings, how to tiller and finish a bow as well as stringmaking and other bowmaking skills.
The workshops are designed to help give you confidence to make bows of many different types. PLEASE NOTE: IT IS NOT SPECIFICALLY A LONGBOW MAKING WORKSHOP

COST: £170 PER HEAD (£90 deposit required)
Location: North Somerset.The number of participants is limited to 4.

Participants will need basic (good condition, please!) tools and a 'workmate' type bench; specialist tools, materials, staves -light refreshments and lunches are provided.
