A range of flatbows is available in 'primitive' and modern designs -if you have a particular type in mind, please contact Sylvan Archery. Whitewood flatbows are the most readily available for self flatbow designs. These bows can be rawhide backed or laminated with a hickory, maple or bamboo backing, The back can be painted with natural pigments as has been done for centuries to 'camouflage' the hunting bow Note: Sinew backed bows need considerable care in use mainly due to our damp climate.
