Sylvan Archery American longbows are made with bamboo backing -you don't need glass fibre to make a fast bow- and bamboo is exceptionally sweet to shoot. The nodes are left proud to retain theunique character of the natural material.

Handles are crafted from attractive hardwoods and shaped with (or without) shelf; a tough oil finish highlights the beauty of the wood, making these bows works of art as well as beautiful to shoot.

Bamboo makes a fast and sweet-shooting bow, and these american longbows are no exception.

Made up from tapered laminations of various woods, and with a bamboo backing, these bows prove that glass fibre or carbon isn't necessary for an efficient design. The nodes are left proud on the backing to compliment the beauty of this unique material.

Risers can be made with left or right hand shelf, or without a shelf for those archers who like to shoot off their knuckle. The handles can be laminated in exotic woods, or from a single type of wood, according to preference.
